Kenyatta University

Kenyatta University was founded in 1970 as Kenyatta College. It was granted university status in 1985 and renamed Kenyatta University accordingly.

Its Main Campus is set on over 1,000 acres at Kahawa, Roysambu Constituency in Nairobi County, with a pleasant and serene surrounding conducive to academic and intellectual growth. It is home to some of the world's top scholars, researchers and experts in diverse fields. It provides high quality programmes that attract individuals who wish to be globally competitive.

Cumulatively, Kenyatta University has a student population of over 70,000 spread across its 9 campuses.
