Moi University is one of the best universities in Kenya. Located 35 km from Eldoret town and about 200 km from Kenya's Capital Nairobi, it offers the most conducive learning conditions to students. It was established in 1984. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and masters programs in such fields as Business and economics, engineering, medicine and surgery, education, law, agriculture, information science, marine sciences among others and has one of the best libraries in Kenya.
It has a total of 15 Schools, nine Directorates and two Institutes presently.The total student population currently is over 52, 000, distributed across Diploma, Undergraduate, Masters, Postgraduate Diploma and Doctorate of Philosophy programmes in diverse fields.
It currently has 4 campuses, namely: Main Campus, Town Campus, Eldoret West Campus and Odera Akang’o Campus. The Town campus hosts the College of Health Sciences (Medical Complex), School of Aerospace Sciences (Rivatex) and School of Law (Annex) while the Eldoret West Campus is home to our Privately Sponsored Students Programmes (PSSP).
It has 2 constituent colleges, namely Garissa and Rongo that also offer unique undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and a total of three Satellite Campuses in Nairobi, Kitale and Coast (Mombasa).
